About the Role:
As a School Caretaker, you’ll play a key role in the day-to-day running of the school. You’ll be responsible for:
* Opening and closing the school premises
* General maintenance and basic repairs
* Health and safety checks
* Ensuring site security
* Keeping outdoor areas clean and tidy
* Supporting the school with room set-ups and occasional porter duties
Caretaker roles can involve split shifts or an early/late rota, so flexibility is important. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work and takes pride in keeping a building safe, secure, and well-maintained.
Requirements:
* A practical mindset and basic maintenance skills
* Previous caretaking or general labouring experience is desirable
* A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is advantageous
* A valid enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service – or willingness to apply for one through Provide Education at a cost of £60 (required before placement due to client safeguarding policies)
