The Furniture Specialist / Showroom Consultant Role:
The Furniture Specialist role plays a critical part in the successful launch and ongoing sales and development of our exciting new furniture brand and products. They should be skilled in motivating and managing all elements of their product specialism both internally and externally, working closely with external clients and internal Sales Teams with the ultimate aim of driving sales.
Supporting the Showroom Teams, this role will have a strong emphasis on face-to-face consultation and delivering a unique and successful customer journey and experience. A confident knowledge of all Havwoods' products and showroom operations will be essential.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
* To increase the conversion rate and sales growth of furniture products within Havwoods.
* To work with the Sales Teams to develop / enhance their knowledge of furniture products, according to their sector requirements.
* To support as 'subject matter expert' in face-to-face meetings with clients as required by the Sales Teams.
* To successfully deliver product presentations to clients.
* To be customer facing and responsible for taking showroom clients on a journey from warm lead through to converted lead and invoiced sale.
* Generating interest and leads on existing and new channels via all communication types, ultimately resulting in the successful generation of showroom appointments.
* Providing exceptional service to all clients within the showroom environment. This includes greeting clients and offering refreshments, understanding the requirements of each project, guiding clients through suitable options, offering technical advice and providing thorough product knowledge.
* Reporting all showroom data in a professional, timely and compliant manner.
* Taking direction from the Head of Showrooms / Sales Director and actively seeking new opportunities for outbound activity.
* Initiating new ideas for showroom events to increase leads and raise awareness of furniture products and the Havwoods brand.
* Ensuring correct authorisation is obtained for event / showroom expenditure.
* Ordering marketing collateral.
* Working closely with the Head of Showrooms and Sales Teams to deliver events and client meetings.
Product Focus:
* Collaborating with the Global Product and Innovation Director to implement the furniture product strategy, ensuring this meets business needs and goals alongside helping to shape the success of the furniture brand.
* Conducting competitor product analysis within the UK furniture industry.
* Identifying and reporting on gaps and opportunities across each of Havwoods’ markets for Havwoods furniture products compared to competitors.
* Working with Marketing and Showroom Teams to ensure the successful execution of product launches through to ongoing product promotion and product vitality.
* To deliver data driven recommendations mixed with creative entrepreneurship, to help drive Havwoods' ambition to become a leader in furniture products within the UK and EU.
* Travelling to, and participating in, trade shows or exhibitions as required by the Global Product and Innovation Director and Sales Directors.
Skills & Experience:
The candidate must have an overriding passion to strengthen the Havwoods brand and reputation via sales consultation and product leadership. Required skills and experience include:
* Excellent organisational skills
* Ability to identify market trends and forecast
* Adept at reading customer personality types and responding accordingly
* Personable
* Excellent attention to detail
* Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel and Outlook
* Superior qualitative and quantitative analytical skills
* Ability to work at all levels, locally, regionally and occasionally with the wider global teams
* Excellent presentational skills
