Senior Maintenance Engineer - FMCG | County Antrim | Competitive Salary Shift Pattern: This role operates on a rotating 4-on, 4-off shift pattern, consisting of: 2 day shifts (7am - 7pm) 2 night shifts (7pm - 7am) Then 4 days off This pattern offers regular extended breaks and a predictable rotation. Are you an experienced Maintenance Engineer with a strong background in manufacturing? This is an exciting opportunity to join a forward-thinking production facility where you'll play a key role in driving performance, continuous improvement, and engineering excellence. As a Maintenance Engineer, you'll be instrumental in ensuring plant machinery is maintained to the highest standard-maximising uptime and efficiency through proactive and reactive maintenance. Working closely with production teams, you'll have the autonomy to influence change, contribute to business strategy, and help foster a positive and safe working environment. Key Responsibilities: Ensure optimal equipment performance and contribute to achieving 100% CTP (Customer Target Performance). Support with breakdowns, fault finding, planned and preventative maintenance across a range of production machinery. Lead and support shift handovers, engineering shift reports, and technical troubleshooting. Champion a collaborative team environment, offering support and training to Multiskilled Technicians and Line Operatives. Coordinate changeovers and setups, ensuring smooth, timely production runs with minimal wastage. Participate in NPD (New Product Development) trials and provide engineering input. Promote a strong safety culture, ensuring all Health & Safety standards and PPE requirements are met. Identify root causes of faults and implement sustainable solutions. Maintain accurate documentation, PM schedules, and use of maintenance management systems. What You'll Bring: Level 3 or above in Engineering or relevant trade discipline. 5 years' experience in a manufacturing/production environment, ideally FMCG. Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills. Proven experience in planned and reactive maintenance. Supervisory or team leadership experience, including training delivery. Excellent communication skills with a proactive, solutions-focused mindset. Confident working on your own initiative and collaborating cross-functionally.
