Position: Field Service Engineer
Location: Field based – Northern Ireland

The impact you will have
Reporting to the Senior Engineer, you will be fully responsible for the maintenance, repair and installation of Arjo and customer current product ranges.
Responsibilities
* Carry out service & maintenance itinerary in accordance with Company and Service procedures, whilst seeking to optimise use of time and minimise associated costs.
* Ensure familiarity with products being worked on and comply with Company and local Health and Safety requirements; perform work on customer premises professionally and safely.
* Complete and submit all relevant documentation accurately and within agreed timescales.
* On arrival at customer premises, inform staff of the reason for visit and obtain permission before carrying out the required work. After completion, ensure the work area is clean, dispose of parts and chemicals per site instructions, and leave required documentation with the authorising employee.
* Provide feedback or recommendations to Arjo following visits to customers’ premises, and contribute ideas to support ongoing product and service improvements.
* Maintain exemplary personal appearance, hygiene and health in line with the Company’s ethos.
* Maintain tools, spares and equipment in safe condition and report any losses or excessive wear to the Engineer or supervisor, requesting replacements as needed.
* Liaise with Arjo coordinator and customer contacts to advise appointment times and duration of works to keep customers informed.
* Escalate any shortcomings, malpractice or policy violations encountered during duties to senior management.
* Work as part of an on-call rota.
Qualifications and skills
* City and Guild/NTEC/ONC or similar qualifications in mechanical/electrical engineering (preferred).
* Mechanical/electrical engineering experience (preferred).
* Conversant with ISO 9001:2008, ISO 14001:2004 and OHSAS 18001:2007, or the Company’s Integrated Management System (desirable).
* Previous Medical Device industry experience (desirable).
* Excellent written and spoken English (essential).
* Eligibility to work in the UK.
* Valid UK driving licence.
* Ability to travel within UK&I with potential overnight stays.
* Enhanced Access NI Disclosure (cost of Arjo).
* IT skills: Microsoft Office (Excel and Word).
