About The Role: Shift Pattern: Monday to Thursday The Calibrator PPL role will be to assist NHL in maintaining, cleaning and calibrating PPL ancillary equipment. This will primarily involve reactive maintenance of faulty PPL’s, although, some support for both reactive (work requests) and project work is expected. The PPL Calibrator is also expected to work flexibly to support reasonable requests across departments to meet the needs of the business. Although some requirements may vary by site, a PPL Calibrator is expected to be responsible for the following: Ensure that departmental quality standards are achieved. Ensure that all standards meet company, legal and ethical requirements To meet all KPI (Key Performance Indicators) requisites through all shifts Accurately and legibly complete all documentation, including sign off procedures, and update relevant systems. Ensure minimum downtime, maximum efficiency and performance in all aspects of production Be proactive in producing and developing methods of operation that improve productivity and efficiency Control the usage of all consumable items and minimise waste Keep area clean and tidy and dispose of waste in the correct manner Understand, practice and implement relevant Health, Safety and Environmental requirements i.e. Safety Wear, PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and Manual Handling guidelines to company and legal standards Any Health and Safety concerns are reported to the appropriate point of escalation. Follow and complete all relevant risk assessments Keeping the immediate working area safe and clear of any impediments, such as trip hazards, spills, etc. Fulfilling all internal and external training courses including essential H&S courses Remove, clean and maintain PPL (Power plate loading) bars Support in the completion of any reactive maintenance tasks. Remove, inspect, clean & calibrate all blanket and impression cylinder cleaning equipment Replenish all relevant stock & spare parts Assist with all other reasonable requests across departments to meet the needs of the business Skills required: Flexibility.
