The role will be based at our offices at 2-4 Cockspur Street, London, SW1Y 5BS, in central London.

Job Summary
The SFO is a unique law enforcement organisation which both investigates and prosecutes the top tier of fraud, bribery and corruption, and related money laundering offences. We bring the skills of our lawyers, investigators, accountants, analysts, and administrators together on every case from the outset and work closely with law enforcement and prosecution partners in the UK and overseas.
As a Senior Cryptoasset Investigation Specialist you will be responsible for tracing the flow of cryptoassets in complex fraud, bribery, corruption and money laundering investigations. You will act as a subject matter expert, giving guidance to investigative staff and providing insights and reporting into senior managers, Case Teams and the Criminal Justice System.
You will have responsibility for the management and delivery of cryptoasset investigations, providing clear and concise details of progress and findings. You will be required to produce witness statement as well as reports and updates to the Cryptoasset Lead in a timely manner, including presenting findings, developments and recommendations. Initially you will not have direct line management responsibilities, but this may be required as the team grows. You will be responsible for assigning and managing some investigative tasks to the wider Cryptoasset Cadre.
Job Description
As a Senior Cryptoasset Investigation Specialist you will be responsible for:
* Producing high quality witness statements and attend Court to give evidence in relation to complex and technical cryptoasset investigations.
* Lead, support and guide Cryptoasset investigators, Case Team investigators and prosecutors with complex cryptoasset issues by sharing knowledge to help build capability and work in collaboration to resolve issues.
* Autonomously manage workflows to ensure that all cryptoasset investigations are prioritised according to wider office needs and processed in a reliable, cost effective and timely manner. Monitoring resources and making evidenced based recommendations to senior managers when additional resources are needed.
* Provide regular reports and updates to senior managers and other internal stakeholders, including presenting findings, developments and recommendations regarding cryptoasset investigations.
* Liaise with relevant stakeholders on cryptoasset investigation related matters to provide creative, compliant solutions to technical and evidential issues and ensure these are within case deadlines.
* Assist the Cryptoasset Lead by monitoring and contributing to specialised projects to advance cryptoasset investigation processes by improving solutions and identifying the need to develop new standard operating procedures.
