Senior Officer, Adult Protection Committee

This post will be temporary for a period of 18 months and will involve new approaches to the design, development and delivery of learning and development in Adult Support and Protection and across the Public Protection agenda, ensuring compliance and implementation of relevant national guidance.
You will be based within Dalziel Building, 7 Scott Street, Motherwell, ML1 1PN, and will undertake work across various locations in North Lanarkshire.
You will have a comprehensive understanding of the adult protection context in Scotland, should have experience of adult protection practice, and should understand the relevant legislation, guidance, policy development, planning and experience in delivering training. You will work closely with multi‑agency partners at both a local and national level.
Qualifications
* CQSW/DipSW, BA (Hons) in Social Work or equivalent plus significant understanding and relevant experience in adult protection, policy, practice and improvements.
* Good current knowledge of adult protection services and a good understanding of the legislative framework, policies and emerging themes.
* Experience of designing, delivering and evaluating training and learning and development opportunities.
* Registered or eligible for registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC).
* Will be required to become a Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme member through Disclosure Scotland and obtain a satisfactory membership check prior to commencing.
