Seasonal Outdoor Chef - Windsor Racecourse - Windsor
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan and prepare seasonal menus featuring barbecue, fish and chips, fresh burgers, and loaded hot dogs for outdoor events at Windsor Racecourse.
* Oversee the preparation and cooking of dishes in outdoor settings, ensuring high-quality standards and presentation.
* Manage food storage and safety practices to comply with health regulations.
* Collaborate with event planners and clients to ensure seamless execution of catering services during race days and special events.
* Supervise and train kitchen staff and volunteers as needed during events.
* Set up and break down catering stations at event sites, maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
* Adapt to changing weather conditions and adjust cooking methods as necessary.
* Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies and ingredients as needed.
Qualifications:
* Proven experience as a chef, preferably in outdoor catering or a similar environment.
* Strong knowledge of food safety standards and regulations.
* Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced, outdoor environment.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays during the peak racing season.
