Our client is a leading non-food supply specialist in everyday personal and home accessories to the retail market with over 8000 customers in the UK and Ireland. Established in 1994 they source products globally directly from factories as well as being a distribution partner for leading brands such as FIFO Edge BIC Bob Martin Favour Pretty Legs Little Tree Murphy & Barrett candles and Object.
They are an innovative business that has already met the regulations for the Sustainability Packaging act which comes into play in 2025.
They are a closely-knit team with a team-oriented culture that doesnt get micromanaged.
The Role
* We are looking to recruit an area manager in the Colchester area who will service retail stores and build strong relationships with customers.
* The successful candidate will report to their regional manager and assume responsibility for maximising sales in their own area.
* Full training will be provided with ongoing in house products.
* Maintaining existing relationships along with creating strong new ones.
* Assisting with the merchandising of products.
* KPIs to achieve including sales daily calls (10 a day) and debt management.
* Risk-free: Sale or Exchange business
Experience
* Successful applicants will ideally possess recent FMCG field sales experience with a proven record in selling to independent retailers. They will need to be proactive and highly motivated with excellent communication and presentation skills.
* Full UK driving License
* 1-2 years B2B sales or retail management experience is desired but not essential
* Able to demonstrate best practice sales skills
* Professional manner and can-do attitude
Salary: £28,000.00-31,000 per year healthy commission structure (OTE 36,000 top performers take home 47,000 annually).
