About the role
30‑hour role, 4 days a week, working alternate weekends.
As an Activities Co‑ordinator at HC‑One, kindness will be at the core of everything you do. You will plan and implement activities that delight residents in our Dementia, Nursing, Residential and Specialist care homes, support the Home Manager with fundraising events and help residents develop confidence to socialize, explore new activities based on their hobbies, and engage the wider care home team.
Responsibilities
* Plan, coordinate and deliver a range of activities that meet the needs and preferences of residents.
* Support the Home Manager in organising and executing essential fundraising events.
* Encourage and facilitate social engagement among residents and staff.
* Collaborate with the care team to integrate activity ideas into daily care routines.
* Maintain accurate records and documentation of activity programmes.
Qualifications
* Background working with vulnerable individuals, ideally with experience developing activity programmes.
* Strong planning, organisational and time‑management skills.
* Proficiency in IT systems relevant to care planning.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities, demonstrated kindness and respect in all interactions.
* Positive, energetic attitude and ability to work well with a diverse team.
Safeguarding
Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility. You must recognise signs of possible abuse, harm or neglect, know what to do when concerns arise, and have the ability to seek appropriate advice and report concerns, including escalation if necessary. All colleagues are required to attend safeguarding training suitable for their role and undertakes additional training in associated areas.
