Role Overview
Introduction to the role:
We are looking for a Paralegal to join our newly established and very highly regarded Corporate Team in Birmingham.
The National Corporate Team has a presence in Manchester, Liverpool, Leeds, London and Birmingham and provides advice in relation to, Mergers and acquisitions, private equity, equity capital markets, business sales, joint ventures and corporate reorganisations.
Key Responsibilities
Assisting in the preparation of contracts, appointments, warranties, and related documents
Supporting on mergers or acquisitions or disposal transactions for corporate clients
Supporting on due diligence exercises and managing data rooms.
Assisting with the preparation of supporting bundles.
Transaction support including proof reading and preparing ancillary documents.
Communicate by email, letter and telephone with clients and other parties' and their legal advisors.
Legal Research
Opportunities for early exposure to clients.
Company secretarial duties
Companies House filings
Locating documents and creating bundles
Assisting with bills
Generally assisting associates, senior associates, and partners with their workload, including other teams when required.
Providing administrative support to the wider Birmingham office as and when required

Experience in contract and other commercial law principles
