Overview
Assistant Service Manager role supporting the Clinical Service Manager and the Clinical Management Team in the operational and performance management of the Service, including waiting times management. Provides performance management support (financial, planning and business management) to ensure services are delivered within budget, that national and local targets are met, and that income is maximised. Directs and manages the provision of administrative staff across the service. Makes recommendations on service redesign and capacity planning in line with NHS Lothian’s planning and modernisation agenda.

Qualifications and Requirements
* PVG Scheme membership/record (or eligibility to apply) as required for the regulatory group (e.g., child and/or adult).
* Right to work in the United Kingdom; visa/immigration checks as applicable.
* Awareness of upcoming changes to criminal records checks from 1 April 2025 and readiness to comply if the role is reclassified as a regulated role.
