Job title: Executive Assistant, Insurance, Pensions & Investments

Location: Edinburgh

Salary: Competitive, will be discussed at interview

Hours: Full time

Working Pattern: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at one of our office sites.

About this opportunity:

As Executive Assistant, you'll gain first-hand insight into our digital customer strategy, commercial performance, and wider IP&I strategy. You'll provide direct support and counsel to the Chief Customer and Digital Officer and lead the management of her office.

What you'll be doing:

* Coordination of Exec Office to enable planning and delivery of the digital strategy and Platform goals - ensuring priorities are aligned, well-structured and implemented with pace and ensuring meetings, communications and team operations run efficiently and with purpose.
* Providing strategic challenge and insight to help develop decisions, prepare Executive Committee and Board materials, and keep the Director informed on emerging issues, always maintaining an end-to-end commercial lense.
* Leading on preparation and coordination of papers for Insurance Board, Insurance Performance Committee, and other IP&I Committees ensuring papers are impactful, engaging working across teams for contribution and managing actions on behalf of the team.
* Acting as a trusted advisor and operational anchor for both the Director and the wider team, screening and prioritising priorities for the Director, managing partner relationships across the Group, and supporting everyone to navigate a complex and fast-paced environment.
* Develop strong working relationships with the Chief Customer and Digital Office Senior Leadership Team, their respective leadership teams, and other relevant EAs across IP&I and the wider bank to deliver our business goals.
* Oversight of the internal and external comms, ensuring alignment with the directors strategic vision and brand.

What you'll need:

* Extensive EA experience at senior leadership level, ideally supporting C-suite or executives within financial services, particularly insurance, or pensions. You'll be proficient at managing complex priorities and acting as a strategic partner to senior leaders.
* Strong understanding of the IP&I landscape, including regulatory frameworks, governance structures, and business unit operations. Familiarity with investment governance, pensions legislation, and insurance product cycles.
* Advanced partner management skills, with the ability to liaise confidently across executive teams, board members, regulators, and external partners. You'll be trusted to represent the executive office with integrity and discretion.
* Experience handling confidential and sensitive information, with good judgement and a high level of discretion. You'll be relied upon to manage executive communications and gatekeeping responsibilities with integrity.
* Proficiency in executive reporting and governance support, including preparing briefing packs, tracking actions, and supporting performance appraisal and succession planning processes for senior leaders.
