Police Community Support Officer (PCSO)

Overview
Our client, a leading UK law enforcement organisation, is seeking dedicated and community-focused individuals to join their team as Police Community Support Officers (PCSOs). PCSOs play a vital role in promoting community safety, tackling anti-social behaviour, and building trust between the police and the public. Working closely with regular police officers, you will provide visible reassurance to residents, help deter crime, and contribute to creating safer neighbourhoods.
Responsibilities
* Patrol local areas to provide visible reassurance and deter crime and anti-social behaviour.
* Engage with residents, community groups, and local organisations to identify and resolve local issues.
* Support police officers in gathering intelligence and responding to incidents.
* Build positive relationships with the public to increase community confidence and safety.
* Participate in community events and initiatives to promote awareness and crime prevention.
* Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with operational procedures.
Requirements
* Minimum of three years’ continuous UK residency (with less than 12 months spent abroad in the last three years, exceptions apply for UK military bases).
* Possession of a Level 2 qualification in Maths and English (GCSE grade A–C or Level 4 or above).
* Full UK manual driving licence.
* Eligibility to work in the UK.
* Ability to work rotating shifts across a 365-day schedule.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with people from all backgrounds.

Training and Development
Successful candidates will complete an initial training programme at a state‑of‑the‑art Training Centre located at the organisation’s headquarters.
* No annual leave is permitted during the initial training period.
* Candidates with pre‑booked, immovable leave may be deferred to a later cohort.
* The next training cohorts are planned for February and April 2026, subject to completion of pre‑employment checks.
* Base salary of £26,937, with an additional 15.5% shift and 13.29% weekend allowance after training.
