Temporary Works Coordinator
Location: Plymouth - Devonport Project (full-time site based)
Rate: c£450 per day (Umbrella PAYE)
Contract: Contract role
Hours: 42.5 hrs per week (approx. 08:00-17:00)
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Temporary Works Coordinator (TWC) to support a major construction programme on the Devonport project. Working within the engineering team and reporting to the Lead TWC / Engineering Manager, you will coordinate all Temporary Works activities on site within a secure, regulated environment.
BPSS security clearance required (process can take up to 8 weeks). Candidates must have lived in the UK for the last 5 years and hold a NATO or MISWG passport.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate Temporary Works between site teams and designers
Review and manage TW design briefs and submissions
Manage TW through design, approval, implementation, inspection, and dismantling
Ensure TW are installed in line with approved designs
Carry out site inspections and issue TW permits
Coordinate Temporary Works Supervisors
Ensure compliance with HSEQ, legal, and project procedures
Experience Required
Minimum 5 years' experience as a TWC on heavy civils / major construction projects
Nuclear, defence, or other regulated environment experience preferred
Strong knowledge of Temporary Works procedures
Experience with RC, formwork, and falsework schemes
Civil engineering qualification or equivalent desirable
