Duration: 9 hours 10 minutes per week, 11:45am – 1:35pm, term time only (39 weeks per year plus 4.6 weeks annual paid leave plus 2 weeks statutory holidays). Fixed term until 31 August 2027.
Midday Assistant
This post is for a Midday Assistant at Kingsdown School, a special school for pupils aged 3‑14 years with severe learning difficulties, profound and multiple learning difficulties and/or physical disabilities and associated learning difficulties.
Role responsibilities:
* Assist with lunchtime support, ensuring children have a safe and enjoyable experience.
* Support the school team during lunchtime, assisting with catering arrangements, supervision and any additional duties required.
Qualifications and experience:
* Experience or interest in working with children in a special needs setting.
* Good communication skills and ability to support children safely.
* Willingness to undertake pre‑employment checks including DBS, references, health checks, right to work and background checks.
Terms of employment:
* Hours: 9 hours 10 minutes per week, 11:45am – 1:35pm, term time only.
* Salary: LG Level 3 Band 5.
* Starting immediately with a fixed term until 31 August 2027.
