Overview
Technical Writer – EASA Part 21J (m/f/d) at Boeing. The role is located in Hamburg, Munich, Dublin, or Frimley, and involves working within our Commercial Modifications Team under the EASA Part 21J Design Organization Approval. The team focuses on interior retrofit projects and connectivity solutions for the commercial aviation market. We seek a detail-oriented writer who can translate complex technical information into clear, compliant documentation for engineers, auditors, and regulatory authorities.
In this role you will
* Support the Design Organisation as an Engineering Technical Writer.
* Develop, write, and maintain high-quality technical documentation, including design procedures, work instructions, manuals, and process documentation, in accordance with EASA and company standards.
* Ensure all documentation is clear, accurate, consistent, and compliant with relevant aerospace standards.
* Demonstrate extreme attention to detail in all aspects of document creation, review, and revision, ensuring technical accuracy and regulatory compliance.
* Collaborate with engineering, quality, compliance, and other cross-functional teams to gather information and ensure documentation reflects current processes and best practices.
* Translate complex technical information into clear, user-friendly documents for engineers, auditors, and regulatory authorities.
* Support the continuous improvement of documentation processes, templates, and tools to enhance efficiency and maintain technical excellence.
* Maintain document control and version management in accordance with company and regulatory requirements, ensuring traceability and accessibility.
* Review and edit documents produced by others for clarity, consistency, and compliance with established standards.
* Stay current with changes in aerospace regulations, standards, and best practices, proactively updating documentation as needed.
* Work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced, large-company environment.
* Navigate a large, complex organisation and coordinate across multiple departments; experience is highly desirable.
* Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to initiatives that enhance documentation quality and efficiency.
* Adhere to confidentiality, security, and data protection policies in all documentation activities.

What you bring to the table
Basic qualifications
* A minimum of 5 years of experience in aircraft design or in a technical field that is highly regulated.
* Must have existing rights to work in either UK or Ireland or Germany.
Preferred qualifications
* Very high attention to detail.
* A passion for standardisation, technical documentation quality and organisation.
* A continuous improvement mindset.
* Experience with EASA regulatory and airworthiness requirements including (E)TSO, CS-25, JAR-25 and FAR-25.
* Technical degree, diploma, or certification in a relevant field (e.g., Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, etc.).
* Strong collaboration skills and effective communication with colleagues and customers.
* Principled, reliable professional who values safety, integrity, and accountability; inclusive and collaborative by nature.
