Overview
Stantec is seeking a Senior Project Planner to join our growing Major Projects Delivery team in the UK. This role focuses on delivering for water sector Design & Construction (D&C) projects, collaborating with a national team on a variety of projects, primarily within water. You will be instrumental in all project phases—from pre-construction and design to final delivery—developing and maintaining detailed project schedules, tracking progress, and proactively identifying and mitigating risks to ensure projects are delivered on time and on budget.
Responsibilities
* Collaborate with a national team on a variety of water sector D&C projects.
* Develop and maintain detailed project schedules and progress tracking.
* Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate risks to meet time and cost objectives.
* Engage with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure alignment and delivery.
Qualifications
You will be highly skilled in managing complex projects and programmes using Primavera P6 and able to lead programmes autonomously, providing value through consulting. The role requires collaboration with diverse stakeholders and the ability to mentor less experienced colleagues. You should also demonstrate:
* Experience managing change within D&C in P6 in accordance with contract and client requirements
* Solid understanding of D&G sequencing and interfaces
* Familiarity with NEC 3 and NEC 4 contracts
* Previous experience in the water sector is beneficial but not essential
