We are recruiting a minimum of 2 part-time Care Assistants to provide care and support to people living in all NE3 areas (including Fawdon, Kenton, Montague Estate, South Gosforth).
If you are the kind of person that can make people smile while visiting them in their home, then a Care Assistant with Be Caring could be the right fit for you. You do not need a degree or care qualifications to be a Care Assistant, but you will need the right values. 25 p/hr (walkers) - paid per shifts not per call, travel time included

As a Care Assistant for Be Caring, your working hours will be aligned to our shift patterns, which for this role include late shift working and alternate weekends.
Early Shifts: 7:00am - 3:00pm
Late shift: 3:00pm - 10:00pm (finish time depends on public transport times)
As a Care Assistant for Be Caring, we will agree your working pattern, setting 2-week rota which includes:
Alternate full weekends.
Evenings as agreed within your working hours.
Fully funded DBS.
Paid induction training: 1 week classroom-based (Monday - Friday), 2 days shadowing and additional online modules.
Training development: funded Level 2 and other accredited courses.
Holiday pay: annual leave accumulates with working hours and length of service.
Employee Assistance Programme (EAP): 24-hour helpline, advice and guidance for yourself and dependents.
You may already have many of the skills needed to make an excellent Care Assistant for Be Caring, patience, empathy, and the ability to communicate clearly and effectively are all essential qualities for this role.
As a Care Assistant working within Gosforth, you will:
Provide personal care that protects people's dignity.
Connect people to their communities accessing local support and services.
Deliver personalised care through individual choice and control.
Induction Training
For this role you do not need care experience, we recognise you will have many transferable skills from previous roles, for example as a shop assistant. We will provide you with the training you need to be an outstanding Care Assistant.
As a Care Assistant for Be Caring, you will be provided with comprehensive induction training on:
Dignity and respect, safeguarding and equality and diversity
Moving and positioning, basic life support, and pressure sores (React to Red)
Learning Disabilities (Oliver McGowan Tier 1), mental health and capacity.
