Job Opportunity: Degree Apprentice Engineer
Join our Construction team based at HMP Lancaster Farms, Lancaster, as a Degree Apprentice Engineer, working towards a Level 6 apprenticeship in Construction Site Management.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a leading construction and infrastructure services company. While earning a recognised qualification, you'll gain practical experience in your role, supporting your career progression.
Salary: £22,000 per annum, with earning potential of £38k+ upon course completion.
How does a degree apprenticeship work?
As a Degree Apprentice Engineer, you'll gain practical experience while studying for a BSc in Construction Site Management through our university partner, Sheffield Hallam. All tuition and accommodation fees are covered by us.
You will work closely with the Construction team to design and deliver buildings that are vital to the UK's infrastructure.
Your daily responsibilities include:
* Supporting the development of construction project schedules
* Assisting in preparing reports on project progress, risks, and issues
* Maintaining records of schedules, budgets, and updates
* Identifying potential risks or delays
* Assisting the setting out engineer with construction elements
* Supporting site managers in the day-to-day running of the construction site
* Attending university during pre-scheduled block weeks for lectures and networking
Candidate requirements:
To enrol, you need:
* Level 4 or above in GCSE Maths and English
* 2 A-Levels
* Level 3 BTEC National Certificate/Diploma/Extended Diploma or Advanced Diploma in a construction-related field
* Other Level 3 BTEC qualifications with some work experience may also be considered
