About the Role:
A well-established and busy law firm based in Didsbury is seeking a professional and personable Legal Receptionist / Front of House to join their team. This is a key position within the firm, acting as the first point of contact for clients and visitors while ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the front office.
This role would suit someone with strong administrative and customer service skills who thrives in a professional environment and enjoys interacting with people.
Key Responsibilities
Front of House & Client Experience
* Welcoming clients, visitors, and external professionals in a professional and friendly manner.
* Acting as the first point of contact for the firm, creating a positive and professional impression.
* Managing the reception area to ensure it is well-presented and organised at all times.
* Assisting clients with enquiries and directing them to the appropriate team member or department.
Telephone & Communication
* Answering incoming telephone calls promptly and directing them appropriately.
* Taking accurate messages and ensuring they are passed on in a timely manner.
* Responding to general enquiries via phone and email in a professional and courteous manner.
Administrative Support
* Opening, sorting, and distributing incoming post and arranging outgoing mail.
* Supporting fee earners and administrative staff with general office tasks.
* Assisting with scanning, photocopying, and filing confidential legal documents.
* Maintaining accurate records and updating internal systems where required.
Office Coordination
* Booking and preparing meeting rooms for client appointments and internal meetings.
* Assisting with diary coordination for meeting rooms and visitor scheduling.
* Supporting the smooth running of the office by ensuring supplies and reception resources are maintained.
About You
The ideal candidate will:
* Have previous experience in a reception, front of house, or administrative role (legal experience is beneficial but not essential).
* Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Be highly organised with strong attention to detail.
* Be confident managing a busy reception environment.
* Have a professional and approachable manner.
* Be comfortable working within a professional office setting and handling confidential information.
