WHAT IS INVOLVED? Do you want a role where your organisation skills make a real difference in local communities? Join our Newly remodelled Local Networks (LN) team previously Area Action Partnerships (AAPs) and help keep our work running smoothly across County Durham. You’ll provide vital admin and office support to the LN Coordinator and Board, working closely with partners, Councillors, and local residents. No two days are the same — and you’ll play a key part in meetings, communications, and community engagement/ development. We are seeking an organised and professional individual with strong administrative skills and the ability to manage a varied workload. You will communicate confidently with the public, partner organisations, and elected Councillors, and maintain accurate systems, records, and documentation. You should be able to work independently and as part of a small team, demonstrating initiative, attention to detail, and a commitment to high-quality service. Flexibility is essential, including supporting occasional evening meetings across County Durham. What you’ll do: Be the first point of contact for public, partner, and Board enquiries Organise LN Board, Forum, and Task Group meetings Manage diaries, paperwork, invoices, and office resources Maintain filing systems, databases, and query logs Keep LN communications up to date, including website content and newsletters Support research and share best practice across other LN Zones. WHAT WILL I NEED? You should have a NVQ Level 3 in Business Admin, or an equivalent relevant qualification. Please refer to the attached Person Specification for the full criteria.
