Permanent, 35 hours per week, agile working (9:00 - 5:00pm Monday to Friday)

Do you have experience managing construction and refurbishment projects from inception to completion? Are you confident in liaising with consultants, contractors, and internal teams to ensure the successful delivery of housing investment programmes? Do you have strong organisational skills, technical knowledge, and a passion for quality and community-focused outcomes?

Job Purpose:

As the Project Officer at Queens Cross Housing Association, you’ll be responsible for overseeing the delivery of capital investment and development projects across our housing stock. Working within our Development Investment team, you’ll ensure that new build and improvement projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.

We are looking for someone with a solid technical or construction-related background, who can coordinate multiple stakeholders, manage risk, and deliver excellent outcomes for our tenants and communities. Experience in social housing or public sector projects is desirable, but not essential—we welcome candidates who can demonstrate a commitment to quality, value for money, and collaborative working.

You will

* Manage a range of refurbishment, improvement, and new build projects from start to finish
* Support procurement processes and contractor management
* Monitor project performance, budgets, and compliance
* Liaise effectively with design teams, contractors, consultants, and tenants
* Maintain project documentation and reporting to key stakeholders
* Champion health & safety, sustainability, and inclusive design in all projects

Essential criteria:

* Minimum of 3 years’ experience in delivering property or construction projects
* HNC (or equivalent) in construction management, surveying, or related discipline
* Proven track record of working with contractors and consultants to deliver high-quality outcomes
* Strong IT and communication skills, with the ability to analyse information and produce clear reports

Please find the full job description/ person specification attached below for further information on the role.

We will:

Provide a generous pay and reward package, including 40 days leave per year, 7% or 4% employer pension contribution, agile working options, green initiatives, family friendly policies, health & wellbeing commitment and much more. Read all about our benefits and commitments here.
