The Control Electrical team at Winnington is seeking an experienced electrical, control & instrumentation maintenance technician to work as part of a small team providing engineering support within our manufacturing plant. The role includes reactive and preventative maintenance, repairs, and overhauls.
The position is Monday to Friday, from 7:30 am to 3:30 pm.
Responsibilities:
1. Installation, maintenance, overhaul, and repair of instrumentation, electrical, and packaging equipment, either individually or as part of a team, aiming to minimize downtime and maximize production.
2. Diagnosing failures, identifying root causes, and suggesting and implementing improvements to eliminate recurrences and enhance reliability.
3. Working safely and encouraging safety awareness in line with company and statutory requirements.
The ideal candidate will have a ‘can do’ attitude, a strong commitment to safety, and understand that equipment availability is critical in a 24x7 manufacturing environment.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
* Time served with NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in control or electrical discipline, with experience in a chemical or industrial environment.
* Experience with complex packing equipment, preferably in a GMP environment.
* Trained to BS7671 (18th edition) and EAWR 1989 standards, with knowledge of a wide range of industrial control and electrical systems.
* Full UK driving license is required.
Further training may be available for the right candidate to develop dual skills.
