Southern Water is seeking Senior Business Analysts to join the Programme Delivery Team. This role focuses on building capabilities and delivering a transformative programme of change. It offers an exciting opportunity for a professional to collaborate across teams and influence business decisions.
As a Senior Business Analyst, you will gather and understand business needs within projects and operational initiatives. Your work will involve collaborating with Project Managers, Business Partners, IT/business teams, and other analysts to capture requirements, develop solutions, and optimize processes.
Your responsibilities include:
* Understanding stakeholder needs, defining requirements, and identifying improvement opportunities.
* Leading the elicitation, analysis, and documentation of complex requirements.
* Acting as a bridge between business and IT to ensure solutions meet objectives.
* Conducting gap analyses and feasibility studies.
* Developing business cases, workflows, and process models.
* Facilitating workshops and stakeholder engagement.
* Collaborating with project managers on scope, timelines, and deliverables.
* Motivating and leading Business Analysts, providing guidance and coaching.
* Staying informed on industry trends and emerging technologies.
Skills and experience needed:
* Proven experience as a Senior Business Analyst, including leading BA processes.
* Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Strong knowledge of methodologies like BABOK, Agile, Waterfall.
* Relevant qualifications (e.g., BCS Diploma, CCBA, CBAP).
* Experience in business analysis tools, techniques, and project types.
* Experience with business process redesign and documentation (BPMN, EPC, UML).
* Expertise in business process improvement in complex environments.
* Strong analytical skills to interpret customer needs and translate them into requirements.
* Experience with waterfall and Agile development approaches.
* Ability to understand the end-to-end customer journey and technical interlinking.
* Effective communication skills with stakeholders at all levels.
