Folkestone Hybrid – 1 day a week in the office

The Saga Central Finance function is recruiting an AP Clerk to join their busy accounts payable team.

As our Accounts Payable Clerk, you’ll ensure that invoices are correct and paid within agreed payment terms. You should be inquisitive, proactive, and use your initiative to look at the bigger picture to ensure the job is done properly.

With the support of your team, you will help manage the AP inbox, organise and prioritise invoice workflow, build relationships with stakeholders, and work to tight deadlines.

*You will be required to visit the Folkestone office in Sandgate once a week*


Role Responsibilities

Working in our Group Accounts Payable team, your key responsibilities will be:

* Managing the AP email inbox to organise invoice workflow
* Matching invoices against booking system data
* Coding non-contractual costs
* Managing new supplier setup
* Creating and checking payment runs to suppliers before submission
* Ensuring all company policies & procedures are followed and upheld at every level
* Building relationships with and managing expectations of stakeholders


The Ideal Candidate

Suitable candidates will have prior exposure to the accounts payable function and be keen to develop their finance career within a large business such as Saga.

You will need to demonstrate the following skills and experience:

* Ability to handle different systems competently and prioritise tasks
* Able to work independently as well as within a team and capable of delivering objectives
* Personal flexibility and a proactive approach
* Good working knowledge of Office 365
