Overview of the Role
As a Commercial and Framework Management (CAFM) Team member, you will support the commercial governance of contracts with key consultancies and contractors, help set up and manage pathfinder programmes, and develop long‑term partnership arrangements. You will champion effective governance and commercial assurance across the organisation, building strong internal and external relationships and becoming an expert on contractual and commercial interpretations within a high‑performing team.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee commercial governance of contracts with consultancies and contractors.
* Design and implement pathfinder programmes that embed best practice.
* Collaborate with Integrated Delivery Management teams and Project Management community to deliver value for money.
* Develop excellent relationships internally and externally and manage stakeholder expectations.
* Implement incident response duties and complete mandatory training when required.
Experience & Skills Required
* A‑Level qualifications, level 3 qualifications, or equivalent.
* Strong communication and influencing skills.
* Stakeholder management experience.
* Excellent data and document management skills.
* Commercial acumen – ability to analyse situations, take proportionate risks, and deliver the best solutions.
* Administrative skills with strong organisation, minute taking and report drafting.
* Willingness to undertake professional qualification pathways such as NEC training, CIPS, or similar.
* Interest in infrastructure, construction or environmental programmes.
Desired Qualifications
* Degree or equivalent professional qualification or experience.
* Working towards status with a recognised professional body such as ICE, CIWEM, APM, CIPS or RICS.
* Formal training in contract management (e.g., NEC, Contract Management Capability Programme).
