About The Role

For informal enquiries, please contact Olivia Brook (Internal Recruitment Manager) Olivia.Brook.1@warwick.ac.uk

We will consider applications for employment on a part-time or other flexible working basis, even where a position is advertised as full-time, unless there are operational or other objective reasons why it is not possible to do so.

At the heart of this role is sales coordination and income growth. You’ll lead on bookings, build strong relationships, and help shape our approach to upselling, cross-selling, and developing new commercial ideas—all while delivering exceptional service and event support. You'll be the central point of contact for all non-artistic venue hires across our iconic spaces from community events to education or corporate events and you’ll lead everything from enquiry and contract management, manage the seamless handover to event delivery teams and subsequent follow-up.

You’re organised, proactive and great with people. You thrive on variety, enjoy collaboration, and have an eye for both detail and opportunity. You understand how to manage multiple priorities—and do it all with a smile. Experience with venue or event coordination is critical, but your drive and potential matter just as much.

About You

Are you a natural organiser with a flair for creativity, commercial thinking and attention to detail? Want to play a key role in booking events and growing income at one of the UK’s most vibrant arts centres? We’re looking for a Sales Development Officer, someone who can co-ordinate non-artistic hires across our venues and drive income through repeat and new business bringing energy, efficiency and ideas to expanding our hires and sales activity.

What You’ll Do

* Coordinate and deliver non-artistic hires from first enquiry through to event day
* Drive sales and achieve income targets
* Build strong relationships with internal teams and external clients
* Explore new revenue opportunities, from merchandising to bespoke packages
* Maintain accurate records and reporting using Artifax and other systems
* Ensure events meet all policies on safety, safeguarding and best practice
* Represent Warwick Arts Centre’s welcoming, ambitious, and inclusive spirit

You’ll Bring

* A proven track record in commercial sales and upselling, with experience delivering against ambitious targets
* Strong event and project management skills
* An entrepreneurial spirit and customer-first mindset
* Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities—you're great at building lasting relationships
* Superb organisational and time management skills, thriving under pressure
* Tech confidence, with working knowledge of systems like Artifax and Spektrix
* A fine eye for detail, and the flexibility to adapt and succeed in a fast-paced environment

If you’re proactive, positive and purpose-driven, a collaborative team player who thrives on variety and achieving targets, this is your chance to shape how we grow and deliver excellence in our non-artistic sales activity.

For further information regarding the skills required for this role please see the personal specification section of the attached job description.
