You’ll be responsible for producing safe, efficient, and cost-effective rosters, while delivering high-quality admin support to local managers. This role covers the southern patch and will require regular travel between Bedford, Fleckney, and other nearby depots. Key responsibilities: Lead and support a multi-site team Ensure accurate and compliant roster production Provide effective operational and administrative support If you're organised, people-focused, and ready to make an impact, we’d love to hear from you. About The Role (External) What you’ll be doing: Lead and develop a team of resourcing professionals, providing direction, coaching, and performance oversight. Coordinate the creation of compliant rosters aligned with safety, efficiency, and cost targets. Ensure adherence to collective agreements, fatigue management policies, and terms of service. Collaborate with HR and Finance to support workforce planning, recruitment, training, and budget delivery. Provide accurate reporting and data insights to support operational decisions. Oversee payroll inputs, audit documentation, and support service contracts with a focus on continuous improvement. Act as secretary for local council meetings, supporting collective bargaining procedures. What you’ll bring: Proven experience in leading and developing teams. Strong decision-making, planning, and organisational skills. Clear and confident communication, with influencing and negotiation abilities. Expert knowledge of rostering principles and conditions of service. Familiarity with UK rail industry practices and Lean methodologies. Desirable: Administrative experience and geographical knowledge of the route. Previous rostering experience. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring regular travel across Bedford, Fleckney, and other southern depots.
