Job Description
Electrical Project Manager (x2) | £75,000 - £85,000 | London | M&E | Perm
CAT A & B Fit-Out | £3m–£20m
Most fit-out jobs sound good until you get into the nitty gritty.
On paper it’s pipeline and delivery. In reality, it’s almost always a bit frantic… with teams stretched, programmes already under pressure, and everyone just trying to stay ahead of the game.
This one feels a bit more under control.
It’s working for an established M&E contractor with a steady run of CAT A & B work across Central London. The projects are a decent chunky size, the clients they work with are appreciative and understand the pressures of construction, and the delivery team isn’t constantly being pulled around to cover gaps elsewhere.
They currently need two Electrical Project Managers because the work is there and there are jobs to be done. Not because they’re replacing people or trying to patch something up.
You will be running your own jobs. Speaking directly with clients. Managing site teams who don’t need babysitting. You will still be busy, there will still be deadlines to hit and the usual pressures – just with less of a feeling of being constantly on edge.
The reality is you will already be doing this job – or a similar one- somewhere else.
You will have delivered electrical packages on fit-out schemes. You will have had jobs that didn’t quite go to plan and had to sort them out anyway. You will be comfortable being the one who has to make the call when something needs fixing.
That’s what we are looking for.
If your current role feels harder than it needs to be, this is probably worth a conversation.
No big sell. Just a better run job.
