Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Retail Store Supervisor to lead our team and ensure the smooth operation of our fun retail store. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, exceptional communication skills, and a passion for delivering excellent customer service. As a Retail Store Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing daily operations, supervising staff, and driving sales performance while maintaining a positive shopping environment.
Key Supervisory Duties
* Daily Operations: Oversee daily store operations, including opening/closing procedures, cash handling, and ensuring a clean, organised store environment.
* Sales & Profitability: Drive sales by developing and implementing strategies, setting sales targets, and analysing performance metrics to maximise profitability.
* Team Leadership: Recruit, train, schedule, and motivate a team of employees, providing ongoing coaching and performance reviews to achieve goals.
* Customer Service: Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by handling inquiries and complaints professionally and training staff on product knowledge and service standards.
* Compliance: Ensure the store adheres to company policies, health and safety regulations, and relevant laws.
Stock Management Responsibilities
* Inventory Control: Maintain accurate stock levels by conducting regular inventory counts, managing stock audits, and utilising inventory management systems to track stock flow and prevent discrepancies.
* Replenishment & Ordering: Coordinate with suppliers, receive deliveries, and ensure timely, accurate reordering of products to meet demand and avoid stock outs.
* Demand Forecasting: Analyse sales data and trends to forecast future inventory needs, optimising stock levels for seasonal buying patterns and promotional activities.
* Loss Prevention: Implement measures to minimise theft, monitor inventory levels, and handle damaged or broken merchandise appropriately to reduce shrinkage.
Skills & Qualifications
* Leadership & Communication:Strong ability to lead, motivate, and communicate effectively with staff, customers, and corporate management.
* Analytical Skills:Proficiency in analysing sales reports, inventory data, and financial metrics to make informed business decisions.
* Organization:Excellent organizational skills to manage inventory, maintain store cleanliness, and coordinate various operational tasks.
* Retail Experience:Proven experience in retail operations, staff management, and stock control, often including direct experience with inventory management systems.
