**Hybrid working with one or two days from home**
A well-established private GP practice in South Kensington is seeking an experienced Practice Manager to provide support and oversee the day-to-day running of the practice, working closely with the GP doctors to deliver high-quality, safe, and effective patient care.
This is a practice built on trust, continuity, and long-standing patient relationships. Patients are known by name, listened to without rush, and cared for by a supportive and committed clinical team.
The role has overall responsibility for practice operations, including finance, HR, IT systems, premises, patient services, and business development. The Practice Manager will ensure compliance with CQC requirements and relevant legislation, while supporting the ongoing development of the practice.
What we need from you:
Experience working as a GP Practice Manager, with strong knowledge of CQC requirements and NHS governance processes
Private experience (desirable)
Ability to lead and manage a team
Highly organised and IT skills (Microsoft Office & Excel)
Professional, approachable, and confident communicator, with excellent written and verbal skills
Flexible with a positive, can-do attitude, willing to support all areas of the practice when required
Trustworthy, reliable, and able to maintain strict confidentiality
Self-motivated team player, able to multitask, take responsibility, and respect others views
What the role involves:
Oversee the day-to-day running of the GP practice, ensuring smooth and efficient operations
Manage invoicing and debt chasing, using Xero, Excel, and Microsoft Office
Oversee payroll processes, liaising with Paycheck / payroll providers for salaries and pensions
Monitor inventory levels and order general and medical supplies and equipment
Manage patient records, practice IT systems, and data protection requirements
Handle complaints and concerns from staff and patients in a professional and sensitive manner
Ensure full compliance with health and safety regulations, including accident reporting and investigations
Regularly monitor and update GDPR and CQC compliance
Update and maintain the practice website as required (Weebly simple to use)
Organise and manage monthly practice meetings
Manage staff holidays and arrange appropriate cover
Support recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing staff training, including use of Blue Stream Academy
Provide support to staff in challenging patient situations
Liaise with external contractors and suppliers, including cleaning services, and monitor standards
Maintain records relating to insurance, maintenance, waste disposal, alarms, and practice security
Complete and manage IT, computing, and data protection training (Blue Stream Academy)
Provide general office administration, telephone support, and reception cover as required (including part-time reception duties)
Additional Information:
Healthcare Assistant duties may be required occasionally; full training will be provided (not essential)
Knowledge of Xero accounting software and the Heydoc medical system would be advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided
Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 per year.
Hours: Working 40 hours per week, full time.
