About The Role
As part of our plan to secure a low‑carbon energy future, EDF Energy is leading the way in building a fleet of safe, reliable nuclear power stations in the UK. Sizewell C (SZC) is a proposed new nuclear station that is being developed with a target to start construction at the end of 2023. It is a nationally significant infrastructure project with a very important role in the UK’s climate change agenda and energy policy. The project will have a big impact in the drive to reduce carbon emissions in the UK.
About The Project Team
The SZC Project Team is a growing, diverse and collaborative organisation committed to engaging stakeholders, obtaining development consent and preparing the project for the start of construction.
Quality Function
The Quality function within the Project Delivery Organisation (PDO) is an integral part of this project, responsible for the Integrated Management System (IMS) and associated regulatory Licence Conditions.
Responsibilities
* Cascades information in a positive way to staff at all levels
* Ability to resolve conflict and build respect between multi-disciplinary teams

* Quality of Service Provision
* Understands economic factors that affect the construction industry
* Manages the feedback of commercial data to Planning and Estimating
* Reviews tenders and cost data
* Prepares Target Cost for a Project
* Co‑ordinates the commercial team to ensure programme issues are identified and actioned
* Manages the preparation and review of Earned Value Management
* Prepares the monthly operating statement and associated commercial reports
* Reports and explains commercial progress to senior teams
* Provides feedback of commercial data to Planning, Estimating, Marketing and Sales
* Formulates management plans for resource procurement
* Understands dispute resolution including options, structure and knowledge of the SCL
Qualifications & Experience
* BSc or MSc in Quantity Surveying or equivalent experience
* Membership of RICS, ICES or CIOB (or working towards)
