We are offering a fantastic opportunity for a Band 7 Dietitian to take on a clinical specialist role within the Level 3 Adult Weight Management Service, operating across Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board (BCUHB). The service follows the Welsh Government Obesity Pathway and provides evidence-based weight loss support for residents of North Wales.
You will work as an autonomous practitioner within the Multidisciplinary Weight Management team, providing expert dietetic advice and interventions. You will serve as a resource for the department and the wider Health Board, offering specialist information regarding adults with obesity.
Your responsibilities include supervising and training junior dietetic staff, other health professionals, and students as appropriate.
Main duties involve supporting the development and evaluation of best practices for pathway priorities related to the Level 3 Service across the Health Board. You will work under the supervision of the Service Lead and collaborate with multi-agency community teams.
Additionally, you will provide operational support to the multi-professional team across the Health Board and remain an active member of the dietetic team, which includes over 80 dietitians working in acute, primary care, and public health settings. The team offers clinical placements for students and has administrative support.
Proficiency in Welsh is desirable; applications from English and Welsh speakers are equally welcome.

Person Specification
Qualifications (Essential):
* HCPC registered
* BSc in Nutrition and Dietetics or equivalent
* Post-registration training in a specialist area or advanced diploma in dietetics
* Clinical educators course
* Evidence of CPD activity (portfolio)
* Member of BDA and professional indemnity insurance
Qualifications (Desirable):
* Postgraduate training in weight management and behavior change
* Member of a specialist interest group
* Working towards MSc or equivalent research qualification/experience
* Teaching qualification
Experience (Essential):
* Significant experience in nutrition and dietetics across various clinical areas
* Experience managing weight management caseloads and supervision skills
* Risk awareness related to health and safety
* Understanding of professional ethics and conduct
* Knowledge of clinical governance
* Participation in student placements (A, B, C or 1, 2, 3)
