We employ exceptional people who are engaged and rewarded for the value they bring to our business, and now were looking for a passionate and driven Flat Roofing Business Development Manager, covering the North West. What Youll Do

You will be responsible for developing and implementing flat roofing strategies that drive business growth, enhance profitability, and ensure the successful management of supplier, customer & branch relationships;

You will be accountable for the sales and gross margin (trading margin and rebate) for flat roofing in the North-West Region;

Prepare and maintain budgets for flat roofing in the region;

Propose to the board category changes including suppliers, ranges and stock profiles;

Become a local conduit between suppliers and branch managers;

Agree established and target customer portfolios with the branch managers, Regional Director and Category Manger. This portfolio will form part of the incentive scheme;

Engage with suppliers to become competent in their flat roofing systems;

Work with the Category Manager to implement suitable pricing policy in the region;

Develop category plans, work closely with Marketing, Branch Managers, the Regional Director and Category Manager;

Co-Ordinate trade shows and demo events;

Keep up to date with industry & product developments, adapting to the Category Strategy as appropriate;

Manage working capital by monitoring and managing stock profiles, stock levels and turnover as well as active management of slow moving and obsolete stock;

Prepare a monthly review of category performance against objectives

What Were Looking For

Knowledge of the flat roofing products market;

Strong and flexible negotiator;

Works strategically to realise the organisational goals and objectives;

An ability to work across functions and influence colleagues in a collaborative way to achieve goals;

Demonstrates commercial awareness;

A proactive Can do approach;

Effective listening and communication skills;

Excellent numeracy and analytical ability;

Structured and well organised;

Ability to use Excel and PowerPoint.
