A leading specialised ground engineering consultancy is looking to appoint a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join their growing team in Slough. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer looking to take the next step in their career within a well:established consultancy delivering major infrastructure, commercial and residential developments across the South East.
You will work on a wide range of technically challenging projects, managing site investigations, mentoring junior engineers and providing geotechnical design input from feasibility through to construction.
The Role
* Managing and supervising ground investigations across a variety of sectors
* Producing factual and interpretative geotechnical reports
* Geotechnical design including foundations, retaining walls, slope stability and earthworks
* Liaising directly with clients, contractors and regulators
* Supporting and mentoring graduate and junior engineers
* Managing project budgets and ensuring delivery to programme
* Assisting with business development and client relationship management
Requirements
* Degree in Geology, Civil Engineering or a related subject
* Strong experience within a geotechnical consultancy environment
* Experience producing interpretative reports and geotechnical assessments
* Knowledge of Eurocode 7 and current UK standards
* Ability to manage projects independently
* Excellent communication and client:facing skills
* Chartered status or working towards chartership preferred
