1:1 Behaviour Support Assistant
Location: Llanelli
Start Date: September 2026 (Full Academic Year)
Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 3:15pm
Pay: £92.63 per day (via Teaching Personnel)
Requirement: Fluent Welsh speaker (essential)
The Role
* Providing 1:1 support to a Year 2 pupil throughout the school day
* Supporting behaviour, engagement, and emotional regulation in the classroom
* Building a trusting and consistent relationship with the pupil
* Working closely with the class teacher and ALN staff to implement support strategies
* Using active, engaging approaches to keep the pupil motivated and focused
Ideal Candidate
We are particularly interested in candidates with a sporty or active background who can bring structure, enthusiasm, and positivity to the role. Experience in the following would be highly beneficial:
* Sports coaching
* PE support
* Youth work
* Mentoring or team leadership roles
Key Skills & Attributes
* Fluent Welsh speaker (essential)
* Strong communication and behaviour management skills
* Calm, patient, and resilient approach
* Ability to build positive relationships with young children
* Proactive and adaptable mindset

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
