Compliance Officer

£28,000 - £35,000 per annum
Our client, a Tavistock based organisation in the charity sector, is currently seeking a Compliance Officer to join their growing team on a full-time, permanent basis.
As the Compliance Officer, you will be responsible for supporting organisational growth and governance by managing donation processing, conducting due diligence, maintaining regulatory and certification compliance, and collaborating with clients and leadership to uphold service standards and strategic objectives.
The responsibilities:
Administer charitable contributions on behalf of multiple individual and corporate clients
Confirm recipient organisations meet applicable regulatory requirements
Perform validation checks on beneficiary banking information, including payee verification
Nurture client partnerships while recognising opportunities to expand service offerings
Handle charity account documentation and address related enquiries
Respond promptly to stakeholder questions and support account holders
Contribute to performance monitoring and organisational compliance objectives
Support certification, policy adherence, and controlled documentation processes
Liaison and support with administrative tasks for Senior Management Team and Board of Trustees
The candidate:
Proven experience in a busy office or administrative role
Proficient with standard office software (spreadsheets, presentations, email)
Well organised, accurate, and detail-focused
Strong communicator, able to work independently under pressure
Awareness of ISO or similar standards (Desirable)
