The Warehouse Team Leader works as Supervises and coordinates activities of workers including receiving, storing, inventorying, pulling, packing and shipping materials, supplies, tools, equipment, and parts, in the warehouse.
Essential Job Functions :
1. Plans layout of warehouse and other storage areas, considering turnover, size, weight, and related factors of items stored.
2. Advises employees on care and preservation of items received, stored, and shipped; methods and use of equipment in handling, storing, maintaining, and shipping stock; and related problems.
3. Determines work procedures, prepares work schedules, and expedites workflow.
4. Assigns duties and examines work for exactness, neatness, and conformance to policies and procedures.
5. Leads by example, demonstrates positive behaviours at all times. Shows resilience.
6. Coordinates with administration team to ensure client requirements are met and service level agreements are not compromised..
7. Advises and enforces safety regulations
Physical Requirements
8. Standing/Walking 75% of the time
9. Stand or sit for long periods of time
10. Reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch and frequently required to climb or balance
11. Regularly lift and/or move 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move 50 pounds by hand
