We are recruiting Residential Support Workers to join a highly regarded therapeutic school supporting children and young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD). This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a beautiful, nurturing environment where relationships, therapeutic support, and positive outcomes are at the heart of everything they do.
This is an ongoing agency position offering full-time hours, including evenings and weekends, with the opportunity to gain valuable experience within a specialist therapeutic setting.
The Role
As a Residential Support Worker, you will play a key role in helping children and young people feel safe, valued, and supported. Working alongside an experienced team, you will:
Build positive and trusting relationships with young people
Support children with emotional regulation and behavioural challenges
Promote independence, confidence, and self-esteem
Encourage participation in education, activities, and daily routines
Support young people with life skills and personal development
Help create a safe, structured, and nurturing environment
Follow care plans, risk assessments, and safeguarding procedures
Work closely with colleagues and other professionals to achieve positive outcomes
About You
We’re looking for people who are:
Passionate about supporting children and young people
Patient, resilient, and able to remain calm under pressure
Confident working with young people who may present challenging behaviours
Flexible to work a rota that includes evenings and weekends
Experienced in residential care, education, youth work, support work, or similar settings (desirable but not essential)
Committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
