About the Role
Care Assistant at Hesketh Park Lodge Care Home, a modern 79‑bed care home in Southport, Merseyside. The home delivers residential, nursing, dementia and respite care in a supportive, person‑centred environment.
Contract: Full‑time and Part‑time
Shift Type: Days
Contracted Hours: 12‑44 per week
Salary: £12.25‑£12.53 per hour

What You’ll Do
* Assist residents with daily routines, encouraging independence and positive choices.
* Follow and support each resident’s personalised care plan.
* Monitor health, communicate concerns to the nurse or clinical deputy manager, and assist with handling calls to relatives or health professionals.
* Uphold the dignity and respect of every resident.
* Encourage social interactions among residents and with staff, fostering a warm environment.
* Collaborate with housekeepers to maintain clean, safe, and comfortable living spaces, and respond promptly to emergencies.
* Assist residents who need extra help with eating and drinking, ensuring nutritional needs are met.
* Bring joy and smiles to residents’ lives on a daily basis.
About You
* Qualifications: SVQ/NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care preferred.
* Experience: Ideally at least 6 months as a Care Assistant, but passion for care and transferable skills are welcomed.
* Passion: Genuine interest in caring for the elderly and commitment to excellent service.
* Values: Integrity, respect and a strong sense of teamwork in all actions.
