About the Role
We're seeking a reliable, empathetic, and soft-spoken person to provide direct support in a calm, well-kept, adapted property. You'll need initiative, compassion, and a genuine love of driving, along with the ability to support a varied daily routine.

Option 1 – Ideal School Hours + Alternate Sundays
* Wednesday: 09:00 – 16:30
* Friday: 09:00 – 16:30
* Sunday: 14:00 – 20:00
Option 2 – Ideal School Hours + Weekly Sundays
* Wednesday: 09:00 - 15:00
* Friday: 09:00 - 15:00
* Sunday: 14:00 - 20:00
We're open to offering some flexibility in shift times and hours, including Sundays, while ensuring the service user's needs are consistently met.
Key Responsibilities
* Promote independence and build confidence
* Drive the adapted vehicle safely
* Assist with personal care (toileting, bathing, dressing)
* Transport to essential medical appointments
* Carry out light household tasks
* Run occasional errands and light shopping
* Accompany on outings and daily activities
Daily Outings May Include
* Scenic drives and local seaside towns
* Café visits, garden centres, and retail parks
* Trips to museums, zoos, and family-friendly attractions
* Gentle walks in parks and along the coast
* Seasonal visits to markets, fairs, and festive displays
Requirements
* A genuine enjoyment of driving – this is essential to the role
* Clean UK driving licence and medically fit to drive
* Physically fit and able to support a varied routine
* Willing to complete a paid DBS check and training
* Reliable, organised, and kind-hearted

Location Requirements
Applicants must live within a 12-mile radius of Accrington, including areas such as Blackburn and Rossendale. Applications beyond this radius will not be considered.
