Overview
We are seeking an experienced Structural Engineer to support major engineering programmes within the nuclear and/or water sectors. This is a home-based role open to candidates across the UK, with Manchester listed as the notional office location.
We welcome applications from both Chartered and non-Chartered Engineers, provided candidates have the right technical background and are able to obtain SC Clearance .
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver structural engineering design solutions across a range of projects
* Undertake analysis and design of reinforced concrete structures
* Prepare and review calculations, technical reports, drawings, and specifications
* Support multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver safe, compliant, and efficient designs
* Ensure work is completed in line with relevant industry standards, regulations, and client requirements
* Contribute to design reviews, technical assurance, and project progress meetings
* Support projects throughout design and delivery phases
Requirements
* Minimum 5 years' structural engineering experience
* Strong experience in reinforced concrete design
* Experience working in the nuclear industry and/or water industry
* Ability to work independently in a remote environment and manage deliverables effectively
* Strong understanding of UK design codes and engineering standards
* Good communication and stakeholder coordination skills
* Eligible to obtain SC Clearance
Desirable
* Chartered Engineer status (ICE / IStructE or equivalent)
* Experience on highly regulated or safety-critical projects
* Experience working within multidisciplinary design teams
