About the Team
Bath & North East Somerset Council is excited to announce a new opportunity for a Senior Cleaner at our state-of-the-art Keynsham Recycling Hub, located at Pixash Lane. This modern facility, opened just 18 months ago, is a cornerstone of our commitment to sustainability and excellence.
About the Role
As Senior Cleaner, you will play a key role in maintaining high standards of cleanliness across the site. You’ll lead a dedicated cleaning team, manage stock and supplies and handle light administrative duties. While leadership is part of the role, approximately 80% of your time will be hands-on cleaning, working alongside your team to ensure the site remains safe, hygienic and welcoming.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee and support the cleaning team
Order and manage cleaning materials
Maintain cleanliness across offices, kitchens, public areas, and multiple toilet facilities
Clean stairwells, vacuum/mop floors, and dust edges and ledges
Ensure a courteous and professional approach with all building users
About You
A passion for cleaning and attention to detail
Strong organisational skills and reliability
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Physically fit and comfortable with manual tasks
Friendly, polite, and respectful attitude
