Majorly backed Manufacturer in the East Midlands are currently looking for a Operations Manager to join the team and drive managerial team. With the business in a strong place & supplying into a number of different manufacturing sectors you will be responsible for the continuing improvement of the business whilst managing direct reports in Production, Logistics & Maintenance as well as supporting HR & the Commercial team. Reporting into the General Manager; you will be a strong communicator and will be a key advocate for Engagement with internal stakeholders, the workforce & external stakeholders. You will be a key ambassador for Quality, Health & safety, Your People, Cost & Delivery. You will be a key part of driving cultural change on site & driving positive change within the Production team. Strong order book & a profitable business - so this represents a good opportunity. Develop and grow your direct reports and the team around you to build a positive and nurturing environment. Managing direct reports in Maintenance, Production, Transport as well as supporting Commercial & HR activity. Manage and mentor a diverse team, fostering engagement and professional growth. Driving a strong culture of Health & Safety on site. Collaborate with sales teams to meet revenue targets and identify market opportunities. Help implement a culture of process improvement with your management team Key Requirements for the Operations Manager: Tangible record of Success in an Senior Management role within a Metals/Heavy Engineering Environment Qualification in Engineering (Degree, HNC, HND) ideal Formal Qualification in NEBOSH/IOSH ideally or experience or driving HSE in a regulated environment Strong communication skills is key; forging strong relationship with the your various direct reports Engagement & Empowerment will be key to this role This is a great chance for the right Operations Manager to help a massively backed business to continue its journey of success.
