We are looking to recruit a Technical Enforcement Officer within our Environmental Services team. This person will work with officers in our busy Commercial section to ensure our businesses are complying with food and health & safety legislation through inspection, accident and complaint investigation, sampling, advice and enforcement. They will also protect our communities by reducing the risk of injury, harm and nuisance to our residents and visitors.
The successful person must be motivated, professional and enthusiastic, with a willingness to learn and work flexibly to get the job done.The successful person will ideally have food and/or health safety qualifications such as the NEBOSH diploma, the Higher Certificate in Food Control or an Environmental Health degree. Applications are invited from those who have recently graduated in Environmental Health and who are looking to qualify soon, as this would be the perfect opportunity to gain valuable experience in a range of interventions and enforcement actions. There will also be the opportunity to enhance their professional development by contributing to the duties and functions within our other regulatory services. Support, training and supervision will be provided where needed.
