Briffa - Intellectual Property Lawyers
Operations engineer
Posted: 6 November
Offer description

Briffa is a boutique intellectual property law firm based in central London and is seeking an experienced and proactive Operations & Technology Engineer to join its team. This represents a totally new role within the firm which is being created in response to the rapidly changing legal market. As a result, it could easily fall within a different title, such as COO of Tech/AI, Automation Engineer or Technical Product Manager.

Irrespective of the title, this role will report directly to the firm’s management team and be tasked with driving forward multiple technology related reforms, with a particular focus on automation and AI.

There is huge potential for growth in this sector however it’s unlikely to be driven by lawyers alone. Our aim is to hire someone who can help us grow through a combination of efficiency gains and operational innovation, helping us work smarter, not harder.

* Measure/report, monitor project post implementation, assess/report on ROI in terms of cost + efficiency, assess ongoing basis with a view to further tweaks/improvements as technology improves or business need changes etc.

* Assessment of new legal tech solutions in the market, including attending relevant industry events and seminars.
* Oversight of all software solutions operated by the firm.
* Being an advocate for tech adoption and automation, helping all members of the firm, irrespective of their role or department, to get the most out of the software available to them.
