We are a specialist manufacturer of high-quality wiring harnesses and cable assemblies, supplying to a range of industries including automotive, aerospace, industrial, and defence sectors. Due to continued growth, we are seeking a skilled and motivated Production Operative to join our team.
Job Purpose / Primary Objective:
Working within the 3 divisions of the warehouse the Warehouse Operative will be responsible for all aspects of work within goods in, stores and the dispatch area.
Key responsibilities:
* The key responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to, the following tasks:
* Receive, check and process deliveries in line with standard operating procedures.
* Distribute and rotate stock.
* Pick and issue raw components, bulk stock and consumables for the manufacturing department.
* Accurately measure, weigh, identify and label, parcels / raw components.
* Conduct health & safety, equipment, stock and racking audits and investigate any discrepancies
* Accurately record stock transactions using our in-house software package.
* Accurately pick and pack orders ready for shipment, in line with standard operating procedures.
* Produce dispatch notes, picking lists, warranty and works order traceability labels and other relevant paperwork.
* Load and deliver goods, using lifting gear and forklift trucks when required.
* Work in conjunction with the quality management standards to maintain high working practices.
* Maintain cleanliness and high standards within all areas.
* Maintain high levels of Health and Safety.
* Collate, report and achieve weekly and daily performance targets in line with company standards.
* Participate in teamwork, assisting and offering help & guidance as and when required.
* Communicate and respond to stakeholder queries in writing and verbally with set timescales.
* Promote a positive and professional image of the department at all times, by adhering to company policies, procedures and standards.
* Raise and follow up on non-conformance reports, to ensure that any actions identified, pursued and resolved.
* Work as part of a larger team to develop working practices and procedures.

Person Specification:
To be successful in this role the Warehouse Operative will:
* Be physically fit with the ability to lift heavy items.

* Demonstrate experience of sharing information, knowledge & experiences within a team environment.
* Be confident, reliable & respectful with a strong work ethic.
