Academic Appointments are working with Leeds primary schools who are currently looking for full-time/part-time teachers to work as part of dedicated team of resourceful KS1 and KS2 teams to work on short-notice and ad-hoc teaching cover assignments.
Key Responsibilities:
• Plan, and deliver creative and engaging lessons aligned with the KS1 and KS2 curriculum, fostering a love for learning and promoting academic progress.
• Provide high-quality cover across a range of year groups, adapting quickly to different classroom environments and pupil needs.
• Create a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment where every child feels valued, respected, and supported in their learning journey.
• Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of pupils, providing support or challenge as required.
• Follow school planning where provided, ensuring continuity of learning in the absence of the class teacher.
• Implement effective behaviour management strategies and promote positive social and emotional development. Requirements:
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with experience teaching across KS1 and/or KS2.
• Good understanding of the primary curriculum, with the ability to adapt lessons across different year groups.
• Flexibility, adaptability, and confidence to work across different classes and school settings.
• Enhanced DBS clearance (or willingness to obtain).
