Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage the Maths Department, setting clear expectations and strategic direction.
* Deliver outstanding Maths lessons that promote engagement, challenge, and achievement.
* Design and implement an ambitious curriculum, integrating real‑world and cross‑curricular opportunities.
* Monitor and evaluate teaching, learning, and assessment, using data to drive improvement.
* Foster an inclusive classroom environment and support the diverse needs of learners.
* Lead enrichment activities, employer partnerships, and digital innovation within Maths.
* Celebrate student achievements and drive excellent outcomes for all.
Person Specification
* Qualified Teacher Status and a degree relevant to Mathematics.
* Successful teaching experience across Key Stages 4 and/or 5.
* Proven track record of excellent student outcomes in Mathematics.
* Experience of leading a subject or curriculum area and supporting colleagues.
* Strong knowledge of curriculum design, assessment, and national developments in Maths education.
* Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organisational skills.
* Ability to inspire, motivate, and lead others with clarity and purpose.
* Commitment to professional growth, inclusion, and safeguarding.
